The museum collection has pieces from different parts of Asia, the museum holds art pieces, particularly from Japan, China, India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Korea. The museum has a diverse collection of art pieces. Today the crow museum houses more than 2000 Asian art pieces. It is a small collectors collection of Asian art. This museum is a cultural landscape that represents Asian cultural heritage.

The history of Dallas Crow Museum

The museum has a very interesting history. The founding collectors- Trammel and Margaret Crow were active collectors of Asian art back in the 1960s. They traveled to many Asian regions and collected art pieces and also learned a lot about Asian culture while traveling. Later on, they founded the crow museum with about 600 authentic Asian art pieces.

The museum also has many ongoing exhibitions which celebrate Asian art, the exhibitions have themes around spirituality, nature, art, and much more.

BEILI LIU One Another

This is one of the most famous art installations and pays homage to the children detained at the borders of the US and Mexico. Beili saved her daughter’s clothes from early years, acquired a few clothes from friends, dipped them in concrete, and placed them on the floor in a regular fashion. Their installation also has crochet baby booties dipped into concrete on a display podium. This piece of art is a thoughtful piece of art that conveys a very powerful message.

The Lacquer collection

This section is one of the best permanent collections. It has a beautiful lacquer collection from different Asian regions- china, japan and India.

The gallery tree

This is a beautiful white marble piece from Agra, India. This tremendously beautiful marble arch is coeval to one of the world’s seven wonders Taj Mahal. The piece beautifully captures the popular white marble Indian art during the 1750s.

The Sandstone Facade

The 27th feet wide sandstone Facade is the second floor of a palace located in Jaipur, India. This beautiful Islamic carving piece is carved out of stone. The art piece is a beautiful demonstration of the technique.
